The objective of this scheme is to offset infrastructural inefficiencies and the associated costs involved in the export of goods/products, which are produced/manufactured in India. Such offsets are provided in the way of duty free entitlements issued in Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), notified by Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
Service Exports from India Scheme (SEIS)
The objective of this scheme is to encourage exports of notified services from India. Under this scheme, duty free credits of transferable nature are granted to service providers.
Served from India Scheme (SFIS)
This scheme was in existence during the policy period 2009-2014. The scheme has now been replaced by SEIS under the new FTP (2014- 2019).
Status Holder Incentive Scrip (SHIS)
Under this scheme, certain status holders are entitled to transferable duty free credits from the office of DGFT. These are based on incremental exports made by them during the period of eligibility.
Duty Free Import Authorisation Scheme (DFIA)
Under this scheme, the import of input materials that are required for manufacturing items that will be exported is allowed on duty free basis. DFIA and input materials, both are transferable.
